How am I supposed to eat?? Heightening the experience of food with a reduced (or absent) sense of smell. An interview with Prof Barry Smith

Smell loss chips away at your enjoyment of life, and the dinner table is a great example. The sense of smell contributes crucially to the flavour of food, but this is not the end of the story! Join me when I interview Professor Barry Smith, Director of the Centre for the Study of the Senses at the University of London. We will talk about what goes into “deliciousness” and our appreciation of food. True-taste, mouthfeel, surroundings, and so much more go into whether or not we can have a positive relationship with what’s on our plate. Yes, food after smell loss *can* be made enjoyable again. And if you don’t feel you can face food, we have strategies for that, too.

This one hour session will be recorded, and the recording will be made available to people who have purchased access.
